The useful formula
Profit is more than sales minus snacks.
Monthly net profit equals sales minus product cost, location commission, card fees, route-level expenses, and a realistic repair reserve. Payback divides the total installed machine cost by that monthly profit.
Use a conservative sales estimate for a new placement. After launch, replace assumptions with actual collections from each service visit.
